You are drinking the wrong wine!

wine

There are practices in wine making that I had no idea about. Although I really like it, I’m not an everyday wine drinker like some of my friends. I have always been interested in the health benefits, as well as the historical and spiritual benefits. Why do people go on a cleanse?

Why do people go on a cleanse or a detox? When is it legit, when is it hype? Do most do it because it sounds sexier, cooler, trendier, and healthier than going on a “diet”? People who follow a program of strict or clean eating, or sometimes non-eating, and eventually return to their normal, unhealthier patterns, make a cleanse look more like a good old fashion weight loss diet.

“How can I detox from sugar?” is a question many wellness professionals often hear these days. Chances are, just like most things that have to do with our health, when we realize we are out of balance, we want the “quick fix” to bring us back into balance. The problem is, the habits that brought us out of balance did not start over night, therefore, the quick fix is never a permanent solution.

3 Things to consider above & beyond doing a cleanse: Supplements, elimination, & core.

Everyone wants a “quick fix”. This fact will probably remain true until the end of time. Doing a cleanse has long been a popular cure-all choice. The problem with the “quick fix” is that the problem you are trying to fix has probably taken years to form, and you may feel like you have been successful with a “quick fix” remedy, only to find out weeks or months later that the problem is still there or it has “come back”.

Stress Weight Gain = Belly Fat. Be aware of the connection to hormone imbalance & insulin resistance.
