3 Things to consider above & beyond doing a cleanse: Supplements, elimination, & core.

Everyone wants a “quick fix”. This fact will probably remain true until the end of time. Doing a cleanse has long been a popular cure-all choice. Smoothie Recipe: Post Dentist Recovery Meal

Post Dentist Smoothie

This was the smoothie I made after getting home from my trip to the holistic dentist. The only procedure I had done was a cleaning, and the techniques they use minimize bacteria and inflammation, but it is always good to support the body’s healing and cleansing processes as much as possible.

Soda Sabotage: weight gain, inflammation, acidity, cavities, osteoporosis, diabetes

Stop drinking soda, and let’s just go ahead and put “sports drinks” and anything “light” or “diet” on this list too.

Lose Weight, Increase Metabolism, and Detox. Step 1: Exercise.

In general, we know how to lose weight. Watch a show like The Biggest Loser and what do they do? Exercise a lot, eat less, and choose healthier foods than what they were eating when they came into the game. The formula is not really a mystery, but what people don’t realize is that weight loss and metabolism have much more to do with other factors than the basic formula of calories in vs. calories out.

Lose Weight, Increase Metabolism, and Detox. Step 2: Don’t Eat Food with Preservatives & Chemicals
