Congratulations to Lisa and Kristen the winners of this Nourish With Style Giveaway! Thanks to all of you that participated!
Our friend Charli shared a green smoothie for kids recipe with us and happened to mention Nourish With Style reusable food pouches in her post. We reached out to Nourish With Style to let them know we mentioned them, and after chatting a for bit, it became obvious we should do a review and giveaway with them. Charli chimes in first, as she has had ongoing experience with them, and then Michelle shares her views and a recipe too!
Nourish With Style Review by Charli:
You have probably seen yogurt pouches or fruit and vegetable pouches in the grocery store. They are a very convenient snack, but you cannot be exactly sure of what’s in them and they can be a bit pricey for what they are. Nourish With Style has developed a resealable and reusable food pouches can be easily filled with homemade baby food, applesauce and smoothies.
There are many different brands of reusable pouches out there, but I have been using the Nourish With Style pouches for almost a year and they have stood the test of time. They are stain proof, can be washed on the top shelf of the dishwasher and are freezer safe. They also work with caps and spoon attachments of disposable pouches if you have saved them. Most importantly they are made of food grade plastic and free from BPA, BPH, Phthalate, PVC and Lead.
Nourish With Style Review by Michelle:
The Nourish With Style food pouches are an excellent way to include fruits and vegetables in your young child’s diet. They are also a way to get them excited about preparing healthy foods! Typically when children get to help make the food, they are excited about getting to try it.
My daughter is 5 and I was worried that she would be too old to want try the pouches, but she was very excited about them and excited to help me make and fill them. She chose an apple smoothie to make and it was fun for her to be able to fill the pouches herself.
They were easy to fill and we now have four smoothies waiting for her to drink! The store bought pouches are typically filled with preservatives and unnecessarily high sugar contents. The Nourish With Style pouches are a way for your child to be able to use the products, without all the bad stuff! Plus it is a fun way to interact with them in the kitchen.
I highly recommend them, and truly feel they are good for any age group! Here is the recipe we made for trying out the pouches: 1 cup unsweetened applesauce, 1 cup coconut milk, 1 frozen banana, and a pinch of cinnamon. It was delicious!
Nourish With Style would like to give you a chance to try their food pouches. Just leave a comment below telling us why you would like to try them. 2 winners will be chosen and sent a 5 pack of food pouches!
