Infrared, negative ions, and hyperthermia.

Thermotherapy is a healing modality that works by applying therapeutic heat to the body to increase tissue temperature. The term Hyperthermia is commonly used when referring to heating at the cellular level. These processes increase blood flow, distributing oxygen throughout the body.

Infrared Heat

The safest and most beneficial frequency of natural sunlight is called infrared energy. Harnessing and concentrating this specific energy as heat, can be a tool in your toolbox for optimal health.

There is a full range of wavelengths that make up the infrared spectrum, from Near (NIR) to Far (FIR). Infrared energy warms the objects in its path by means of direct light conversion. This means it is heating you from the inside out, instead of from the surrounding air.

Infrared Benefits

Infrared can increase blood circulation, relieve muscle and joint pain, reduce stress, minimize fatigue and remove toxins.

With regular use, one might experience any or all of the following:

Enhanced natural detoxification
Reinforced immune responses
Enhanced cardiovascular function
Lowered cholesterol
Revitalized skin cells
Emulsified fat
Increased metabolic rate
Curtailed spread of infection

By supporting the body with accelerated oxygen flow, and assisting the repair abilities of the body through the protein folding processes within the DNA, infrared frequencies can produce amazing results very similar to those of negative ions.

What are negative ions?

Negative ions are oxygen atoms charged with an extra electron. Nature creates them as a byproduct from the effects of the sun, air, water and the Earth’s natural radiation. Negative ions are especially prevalent around running water such as streams, lakes and the ocean. This is why being near bodies of water is so appealing and healing for humans. Conversely, enclosed spaces like offices, airplanes and even your home, are significantly lacking in negative ions.

Earth elements give off negative ions as well. Look at the growing popularity of salt lamps for home use, and salt rooms as part of wellness centers or spas. The ancient use of crystals for healing has a lot more science behind it now then just the “good vibes” touted by the New Age movement of the 1970’s. Areas of the world rich in these elements/stones/crystals (whatever you want to call them) like Tourmaline or Jade have been studied and observed overtime for being areas where the people enjoy superb health and longevity.

Putting it all together

In our quest for essential simplicity in health and wellness, we now use an infrared sauna at home. Combining all of the important features of gathering and utilizing this natural energy, while keeping out the harmful frequencies, we have found Therasage. Their Natural Earth Element Full Spectrum Infrared heating panels, with Tourmaline gemstones, generates an abundance of negative ions. This bathes your body from every angle in gentle full spectrum infrared frequencies, with no exposure to harmful EMF’s. Therasage 360’s Advanced Earthing Technology (AET) further enhances the healing experience by capturing the charge of the Earth to help balance the delicate polarity of the body and improve cellular communication.
