Go Green Smoothie Recipe

go green

The 3 added super foods in this “go green” smoothie are not greens in the most common or traditional sense, they are concentrated supplements from outstanding green ingredients that provide optimal energy and nutrition from unique sources.

Go green smoothie ingredients

6 oz Almond Milk

1/2 frozen Organic Banana

1/2 c frozen Organic Strawberries

1 serving Plant Based Protein

1 serving Gula Java Matcha

1 serving Super Natural Calcium

Combine ingredients in your blender or Vitamix until smooth. 🙂

You can always head to your local health food store and ask to see the selection of super food supplements. There is usually a “green foods” section, and the “plant based protein” section usually has good choices as well. These categories will give you the most nutrient density from some of the cleanest sources.

It seems that most vegan protein supplements these days are made from pea protein. I am not vegan, and usually use a grass-fed whey protein. I have tried organic brown rice, and some of them are acceptable in taste, while some are very grainy in texture.
Many of us who have IBS and are following the FODMAP diet cannot use pea protein. Are there any other choices, and which of these do you think is the cleanest and healthiest choice?
