When you operate a blog and create some kind of a following, you can get bombarded with publicity emails. Marketing and media most of the time lumps all health and wellness advertising into one big broad category, which includes the terrible to amazing. Most of the time, because I am so picky, it doesn’t interest me.
Books, on the other hand, I love. But I’m usually already reading so much that it has to be something outstanding for me to take notice. The title that came across my desk that made me stop was: “An End to Upside Down Thinking – Dispelling the Myth That the Brain Produces Consciousness, and the Implications for Everyday Life” by Mark Gober.
This book was meant to find me. It is right in line with all of the “esoteric” studies I have been doing over the last four years. But as with color, light, frequency, vibration, and energy in regard to health and healing, there is solid science that has been hidden, buried, ignored or wrongly discounted. The science does exist to support these modalities and principles. That is exactly how Mark Gober has presented the science of consciousness.
Challenge belief systems
Sometimes we need to challenge our belief systems and admit that science got it wrong. Not that it was ill-intentioned, but an honest mistake was made based on only what we knew at the time. The problems arise when scientists and teachers don’t want to admit they could have possibly been wrong, and the doctors and students don’t want to ruin their reputations by going against old science and thought processes. The health of our body, mind, and spirit; suffers because of ego.
Section 1 and 2 – Awesome! Section 3 and 4 were kind of boring to me, could have been condensed, and no need for chapter recaps. Section 5 – Amazing! This book could change your life. It has broadened my already open mind. I have dog-eared many pages of this book for further study and meditation!!!!
